AIDS MDT
The AIDS MDT care model addresses the medical need for "comprehensive, long-term management of HIV/AIDS as a chronic internal medicine condition," while also aligning with the current policy direction from health administrative departments at all levels—encouraging large, comprehensive hospitals to actively engage in HIV prevention and control efforts. A well-established, multidisciplinary team is a key strength that enables large, integrated hospitals to play a pivotal role in combating HIV/AIDS. Currently, at the university level, our hospital has taken the lead in collaborating with various relevant colleges to launch comprehensive HIV prevention and control research. This initiative has resulted in the development of effective HIV prevention strategies and the establishment of a dedicated research platform focused on HIV control. As a critical component of this integrated prevention and control framework, the implementation of the AIDS MDT approach has significantly enhanced our hospital's capacity to provide holistic care and treatment for HIV patients, offering patients superior healthcare options and improving their overall health management.
