Hospital Admission Process
1. Inpatient Appointment Registration
If you require hospitalization after your outpatient visit, the attending physician will issue you an admission referral. You can then proceed with appointment registration using one of the following three methods:
1.1 Mobile Self-Service Appointment: Download the "Hua Yitong" mobile app, link your medical card, and tap on "Hospital Admission Services." Follow the on-screen prompts to complete and submit the required information.
Step 1: Download and install the app (download and install the official Huayitong app from West China Hospital of Sichuan University, which offers features like appointment booking and payment).
After downloading and installing, log in and bind the patient's real-name registered medical card from Huaxi Hospital.
Step 2: Hospital Admission Application (After linking the patient’s medical card, tap “Admission Service” in the app. Once your appointment is confirmed, the system will send you a notification within the app and also send you an SMS.)
1.2 Self-Service Kiosk Appointment: Patients can visit the Admission Service Center (outdoor garden area of the outpatient clinic) lobby and use the "Self-Service Area" to complete their appointment by presenting their medical card and admission slip (staff will provide guidance). Once the appointment is successfully booked, the system will automatically print out an "Appointment Notification Form," which will indicate your estimated wait time. Alternatively, you can check the "Estimated Bed Availability Time" on the display screens located in the lobby or ask the staff on-site for assistance.
1.3 Manual Window Appointment: Patients should bring their medical cards and admission permits to the Reception Hall of the Admission Service Center, where they will complete the Admission Information Form (please fill out all listed items accurately). Be sure to carefully verify your name, gender, age, contact number, and other details—make any necessary corrections immediately if you notice an error. Afterward, proceed to the "Integrated Service Window" to register for your appointment. Once your appointment is confirmed, staff will provide you with the "Appointment Admission Guidelines" and print out the "Appointment Notification Slip," which will indicate your estimated wait time. Alternatively, you can check the "Estimated Bed Availability Time" on the display screens located in the hall or ask the staff at the service counter for assistance.
1.4 Other Special Cases:
(1) Two-way Referral Patients: Please bring your medical card, admission slip, and all relevant two-way referral documents to the "Two-Way Referral Office" located in Area A3 on the first floor of the outpatient clinic.
(2) Patients from the Shangjin Branch Clinic: Please bring your medical card and admission slip to Window No. 7 in the Reception Hall of the Admission Service Center to register for "Shangjin Branch Clinic."
(3) Patients arriving at the Wenjiang Branch Hospital: Please proceed to Window No. 8 in the Reception Hall of the Admission Service Center and present your medical card along with your admission slip, marked "Wenjiang Branch Hospital."
(4) Printing Preoperative Orders: Patients who require printed orders for elective surgical procedures should bring their medical cards and admission slips to the "Integrated Service Window" in the Reception Hall of the Admission Service Center.
(5) Other scenarios: If the attending outpatient physician personally provides guidance, proceed according to the doctor's instructions.
Special note:
(1) We recommend using the Huayitong app for self-service mobile booking—making your subsequent inquiries, admission notifications, and hospital registration process much more convenient!
(2) During the waiting period, if your condition changes, please choose either on-site emergency care or seek medical attention at the hospital promptly, depending on the specific situation.
(3) Our hospital strictly adheres to the principle of prioritizing critical and emergency cases when scheduling admissions. If you notice any violations or misconduct during the admission process—such as unauthorized paid services or promises of expedited admission—we encourage you to gather evidence and report it immediately to the hospital at 028-85422114. Please remember that the hospital is a public space; while waiting or during your stay, be sure to keep your valuables and important documents securely with you to avoid scams or theft. In case of an emergency, please contact the police at 028-85422110 or dial 110 for assistance.
2. Hospital Admission Inquiry
2.1 Patients who booked via mobile self-service: Simply refresh the app interface, and the system will automatically display the information.
2.2 Patients with appointments under other circumstances: Please refer to the details listed on the "Appointment Notification Form" (accuracy rate of approximately 90%). Alternatively, you can visit the Admission Service Center in person or call 028-85421772 for further assistance.
Special note: To protect patients' legal rights, patients requesting access to their own records should bring their medical card and hospital admission slip. If someone else is authorized to inquire on your behalf, please ensure you provide a power of attorney along with the authorized individual's valid identification documents.
3. Hospital Admission Notice:
3.1 Patients who book appointments via the mobile app: The system will automatically send a detailed notification in the app, including the specific date, time, and important notes—and will also include an accompanying SMS message. Once patients receive this information, they must confirm their appointment on their mobile device within 15 minutes; if no confirmation is received by then, staff will contact them by phone.
3.2 Patients with Other Appointment Types: Staff at the Admission Service Center will call to inform you of the specific date, time, and any important notes to keep in mind.
Special note: Please keep your phone accessible and answer promptly, or complete the system response via the app as soon as possible, to avoid any disruption to your hospitalization plan.
4. Hospital Admission Procedures
4.1.
