On July 21, 2023, the third event in the series titled "Party Building Leading Collaborative Development and High-Quality Medical Resources Flowing Downward," organized by the Department of Orthopedics at West China Hospital of Sichuan University, was successfully held at West China Guang'an Hospital of Sichuan University.
Led by Professor Ning Ning, Director of the Orthopedic Nursing Discipline at the Orthopedics Party Branch of West China Hospital; Professor Chen Jiali, Head Nurse of the Orthopedics Department; Professor Zhou Quan, Secretary of the Surgical (Joint) Party Branch at West China Guang'an Hospital; and Professor Chen Hua, Head Nurse of the hospital's surgical division, the event brought together over 50 participants, including representatives from the West China Orthopedics Party Branch, as well as party members and cadres from various departments within the surgical area of West China Guang'an Hospital.

Researcher Huiqi Xie's team from the Stem Cell and Tissue Engineering Laboratory has published a paper in Advanced Science: Developing a self-assembling hemostatic powder with rapid self-gelation and wet-state adhesion capabilities, effectively controlling non-compressible bleeding.
Associate Professor Ma Ji's team from the Abdominal Tumor Ward has published a paper in Cancer Communications, systematically outlining the crosstalk mechanism between ferroptosis and antitumor immunity within the tumor microenvironment.
Recently, Professor Jianguo Xu’s team from the Department of Neurosurgery at our hospital published a research paper titled "Preoperative volume of the optic chiasm is an easily obtained predictor for visual recovery of pituitary adenoma patients following endoscopic endonasal transsphenoidal surgery: a cohort study" in the International Journal of Surgery (IF: 15.3). The study revealed that preoperative optic chiasm volume can serve as an effective predictive marker for postoperative visual outcomes in patients with pituitary adenomas. Furthermore, by leveraging deep learning technology, the researchers developed an intelligent prediction model with significant clinical potential, offering a novel approach to assessing the likelihood of visual function recovery in these patients.
The Orthopedic Nursing Team at West China Hospital of Sichuan University is recognized as a "Youth Civilization Unit" in Sichuan Province.
