Associate Professor Ma Ji's team from the Abdominal Tumor Ward has published a paper in Cancer Communications, systematically outlining the crosstalk mechanism between ferroptosis and antitumor immunity within the tumor microenvironment.
Recently, the team led by Associate Professor Ji Ma from our hospital's Abdominal Tumor Ward published a research article titled "The crosstalk between ferroptosis and anti-tumor immunity in the tumor microenvironment: molecular mechanisms and therapeutic controversy" in Cancer Communications (IF: 16.2). The study systematically elucidates the intricate interplay between ferroptosis and antitumor immunity within the tumor microenvironment—examining both tumor cells and tumor-infiltrating immune cells. It summarizes current conflicting perspectives on how ferroptosis and antitumor immunity influence each other, as well as the complex regulatory dynamics of these pathways. Additionally, the paper explores the promising potential and ongoing challenges of leveraging ferroptosis in cancer immunotherapy.
