Important Notes for Health Checkups
Friendly Reminder for Your Health Checkup
I. Pre-Exam Preparations
1. Avoid overexertion and get plenty of rest before your medical checkup; you’ll need to fast for 6–8 hours before blood tests.
2. On the day of your medical checkup, wear loose-fitting clothing and avoid wearing jewelry as much as possible to facilitate the examination. Please try to schedule your appointment outside of your menstrual period if possible.
3. Individuals with a history of hypertension are permitted to take their medication with just one sip of plain water.
II. Key Considerations During the Medical Examination
1. Check-up arrival time: 8:00–9:30 AM (blood draw closes at 9:30 AM).
2. On the day of your medical checkup, please bring your ID card and first register at the front desk before proceeding with the examination. (Please note—medical exam information for those who fail to register cannot be entered into the computer system!)
3. During the medical checkup, the system prioritizes and reasonably schedules the less-busy examination items based on the day’s queue status in each department.
4. Food and water may be consumed only after blood tests, ultrasound, and any special examination procedures have been completed.
5. Do not eat before your ENT examination.
6. Please measure your blood pressure and undergo an ECG before the internal medicine examination.
7. Please check your vision before the eye exam.
III. Special Considerations for Women:
1. Gynecological Examination: Please empty your bladder and bowels first, then proceed to the gynecology registration desk. After receiving the LCT reagent bottle, do not leave the examination room.
2. After an abdominal ultrasound, an unprepared female patient will undergo a "full bladder" ultrasound: Only after blood collection and the fasting ultrasound can you drink plenty of fluids (preferably cool water—sugary drinks or tea are even better). Wait until you feel a noticeable urge to urinate before proceeding with the examination.
3. Transvaginal Ultrasound for Married Women: Complete the gynecological exam first—no need to hold your urine.
4. Breastfeeding mothers and individuals planning to conceive (within the next six months) are advised not to undergo radiological examinations (such as X-rays or CT scans).
IV. Collection of Urine and Stool Samples (not recommended during a woman's menstrual period):
1. Please affix the barcode vertically to the specimen and place the specimen on the shelf outside the bathroom door.
2. Urine Sample: After cleaning the perineal area, collect a midstream urine sample (about one full tube). The middle portion of the collected urine will serve as the routine urinalysis specimen.
3. Stool Sample: Collect a stool sample using the provided tube. Please provide a fresh stool sample from the same day, about the size of a soybean.
*(If a urine LCT test is required, please collect an additional midstream urine sample.)
5. Please be sure to return the guidance form to the front desk for review, regardless of whether the inspection has been completed that morning. For any rescheduled inspections, please confirm the new time directly with the front desk.
