Detailed content
I. Product Overview
A prefabricated substation (also known as a box-type substation or European-style box substation, commonly referred to as "Euro-substation") is a mobile, complete electrical distribution system assembled in advance at the factory. It consists of high- and low-voltage switchgear, transformers, and an enclosure. Primarily designed to replace traditional civil-engineering-based substations, it efficiently delivers both substation and distribution functions.
Prefabricated substations can be used both outdoors and indoors, making them widely applicable in industrial parks, residential communities, commercial centers, public venues, airports, ports, subway systems, hotels, schools, hospitals, as well as dynamic construction sites, mines, oil fields, and other settings. Depending on their specific application, they can also be categorized into products such as prefabricated substations for urban municipal lighting, those designed for rural grid upgrades, factory power distribution systems, nuclear power plants, wind farms, highways, seaport terminals, and airports.

V. Product Features
1. Overall Structural Features
- Feature-rich and reliable
It can interrupt short-circuit and load currents, providing full-range current protection. High-voltage options include ring main units (including dual-power supplies), terminal substations, and systems equipped with high-voltage metering—offering a variety of power supply configurations to choose from. Additionally, it features all the functionalities of conventional civil-engineering-type substations.
- Low investment, minimal land use, and easy installation
Compact in structure, small in size, and requiring minimal floor space, it features an integrated multi-door design for convenient transportation, installation, operation, and maintenance. The overall European-style design primarily comes in three main configurations: the "目" (eye)-shaped integrated type, the "品" (character "pin")-shaped integrated type, and the split-type structure.
Saving money: Better than distribution transformers + The capital investment in the distribution room should be minimal;
Province-level: Small in size, occupying about the same space as a distribution transformer of comparable capacity. + The volume of the distribution room 1/3 Or even smaller;
Time-saving: Delivery can be arranged in less than a month, and on-site installation is simple—simply tighten the four mounting bolts and connect the incoming and outgoing cable lines.
- Good security
Featuring a fully enclosed design, the product casing is grounded, and its outer surface contains no live components whatsoever. As a result, no insulation distance is required, reliably ensuring personal safety.
2. Component and Part Selection
- Medium- and High-Voltage Equipment
a. Selection of Medium- and High-Voltage Switching Methods
Since circuit breakers primarily perform the functions of interrupting normal load currents and clearing short-circuit currents in power systems, and given their high degree of automation, they are used as 800kVA User disconnection above the transformer is the preferred option.
End users of the power system, especially 10kV Small to medium capacity 630kVA The high-voltage switches used by the following customers frequently handle normal load currents, and in most cases, load switches combined with fuses replace the main circuit breakers. Specifically, the high-voltage load switch is responsible for interrupting normal load currents, while the fuse takes care of disconnecting short-circuit currents.
b. Cabinet Type Selection
Medium- and high-voltage switchgear can be selected based on the specific application environment. XGN Fixed-type circuit breaker cabinet, KYN Armored withdrawable switchgear, HXGN Vacuum (air-compression type) load switchgear, SF6 Fully insulated sulfur hexafluoride switchgear, XGN15 Sulfur Hexafluoride Load Switchgear.
- Transformer
Available in various series of dry-type or oil-immersed transformers Device

- Low-voltage equipment
Our company's European transformers typically use GGD Series of fixed low-voltage switchgear, which can also be provided in a withdrawable design depending on specific product requirements. GCK 、 GCS 、 GCL 、 MNS Cabinet. GGD Cabinet features:
a、 High maintainability , the cabinet root Based on component reliability and operability, low-voltage components are reasonably arranged for primarily front-access maintenance. Easily worn components such as low-voltage circuit breakers, disconnect switches, fuses, and contactors are all positioned at the front of the cabinet, ensuring convenient access for inspection and upkeep. Meanwhile, highly reliable components like copper busbars and insulators—which require minimal maintenance—are placed at the rear of the cabinet and typically do not need regular servicing or upkeep.
b. Small size: Typically, the design of European-style circuits is relatively simple, so the accompanying low-voltage equipment is designed as a single European transformer unit. GGD When using dedicated cabinets, low-voltage electrical equipment can be arranged more efficiently, reducing the footprint of the low-voltage cabinet.
- Shell Types
Our company selects the enclosure for our European-style transformers based on the operating environmental conditions. Our transformer enclosures include cold-rolled steel sheets with coating, stainless steel sheets with coating, color-zinc composite panels, and non-metallic enclosures, among others.
6. Layout Configuration and Reference Overall Dimensions
YB The series of prefabricated substations is categorized into "U"-shaped and "Y"-shaped arrangements based on their layout.
1. Cross-shaped arrangement

2. V-shaped Layout

Floor plan: H— High-voltage room, T— Transformer room, L— Low-pressure Chamber
3. Reference for External Dimensions
The external dimensions must be flexibly designed according to the user's configuration plan.
