Personal Profile:

Researcher, Chief Physician, Doctoral Supervisor, and a member of the Communist Party of China. He is an Academic Inheritance Mentor for the 5th Batch of National Renowned Senior Traditional Chinese Medicine Experts, a recipient of the Third Capital City Outstanding TCM Master Award, and receives a special government allowance from the State Council. He graduated from the Medical Department of Beijing Medical College (formerly Peking University School of Medicine) in 1958 and has since dedicated his career to medical practice, teaching, and research at the Department of Dermatology and Venereology of Peking University Third Hospital. In 1972, he embarked on a unique journey by leaving Western medicine to study Traditional Chinese Medicine. With 60 years of clinical experience, he has consistently embraced both Western and traditional Chinese medical approaches, pioneering a path that integrates the two systems. His expertise spans the diagnosis and treatment of numerous common and prevalent skin conditions, and he has achieved remarkable success in managing even some of the most challenging and complex cases. Throughout his career, he has worked extensively both domestically and internationally, contributing significantly to dermatological clinical practice, research, and education. He currently serves as a member of the Expert Committee at the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences and was formerly a member of the AIDS Expert Committee. Today, he is an esteemed Consultation Expert for both the Central Health Care Commission and the Central Military Commission’s Health Care Committee. Additionally, he previously held the position of Executive Editor-in-Chief for *Chinese Journal of Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine in Dermatology and Venereology* and now serves as its Honorary Editor-in-Chief. To date, he has published 20 scholarly papers in leading national core journals.
